The following is a list of current banned characters on Believe In Heroes. For reasons relating to plot progression, as well as potential for power playing and godmodding, we feel the current restrictions are necessary. Due to how broad the Marvel universe is, we cannot account for all canon characters that can be perceived as non-playable for one reason or another, and therefore reserve the right to restrict such characters when they are brought to our attention. This list is subject to change depending on the progression of the plot, in which case there might be a place for the following characters in the storyline.

BANNED CHARACTERS

In regards of the Banned Characters list, we want to point out the following:

For reasons relating to plot progression, as well as potential for power playing and godmodding, we feel the current restrictions are necessary. Due to how broad the Marvel universe is, we cannot account for all canon characters that can be perceived as non-playable for one reason or another, and therefore reserve the right to restrict such characters when they are brought to our attention.

There is no way we can go through EVERY single character in Marvel and then see which ones should be banned or not -- nor we will have the patience for it -- hence our approach is to go on a case to case basis, as some of you might make us aware of a certain canon that after we check it out and consider it, we might think runs the risk of being Over Powered or not fitting the overall story we want to tell here. What is the point of having a character that I love but that has no real chance of doing anything in the story? Or on that same token, a character that is so OP that is no fun to write with?

The problem is also for those writers that do not restrict their characters accordingly in order to make them fit, rather wanting to go with the Overpowered factor just because. For example, characters like Scarlet Witch run the risk of being too OP and hence impossible to accept, unless the writer is willing to tone it down  and make them more 'real' in this story. So we banned those we are aware of and we would be vigilant of those we are not, as said, on a case to case basis.

ASGARDIAN CAP

Unfortunately, because of how hard it is to establish an Asgardian character within the plot and the site, we have decided to put a ban on future Asgardian characters. Those who are already in play are the exception (including the Sigyn application in pending) however, no new Asgardian’s will be accepted from here on.
