GUIDE TO BELIEVE IN HEROES
GETTING STARTED
> > >Welcome to Believe In Heroes. We are happy to see you have stumbled upon our community. Have a look around. Head to our plot and time line first. See what the site is about and glance at out sub member groups to see who is in play. Once you’ve done that head over to the canon list and see if any peek your interest or if you favourite is available. Once you’ve have done that and decided that you want to join, check out our rules. There are a few but they are necessary.
Once you have read the rules and decided that you would like to join Believe in Heroes head over to grab the application template. Take a look at our mutant level scale see where you’re character fits in. Fill out the application and our staff will get to it as soon as possible. During the application process you might see a field for job. If your character is working in some way or employed by someone just stick in a bit of information there.
ROLE PLAYING
> > >Accepted! Wonderful! Now what? Well, we would like you to fill out a few things for us. Head over to face claim and our who’s who list. Once the claims are done, we suggest throwing up a plot page where other’s can throw their ideas your way. You can also looking for other characters pages and suggests ideas yourself. In our connected section for the board, you can throw up a character cell phone as well as diaries and anything else that is tech related.
HYDRA

> > >For each major member group such as X-men, Hydra, Brotherhood, Hellfire Club and the Avengers, BIH has individual plot pages. Each plot page allows members get a summary of what the group is currently doing as well as possible new and future plots and events.

'PAST' THREADS

Head over to Sands Of Time where any thread placed in the past can happen. NOTE: This is not an alternate universe board. This board is meant for threads set in a character's past that would not change them in the present.
CELLPHONE TEMPLATES

CONTACTING MEMBERS OF STAFF

We've just installed a plugin whereby members can PM all members of staff, by simply typing the word 'staff' into the recipients bar in the 'Create Message' panel. A dialogue box then appears to confirm this selection, after which you simply click 'Yes'.

PROFILE TWEEKS
COVER IMAGE
> > >BIH has a two-image avatar code which allows for a cover image that hides all the mini profile information under. We have a default image for those that do not wish to have two images for their character. However if you do, go to your profile > edit profile > personal. Scroll until you see the “Hover” field box and simply add the url to your image. Make sure the image is 200px by 300px.
PROFILE LINKS
> > >We have added a new feature to the mini profile which will allow members to provide various important links to their character. Instead of having to hunt for plot pages and trackers, they can now be found under the hover image for each profile.
The following fields have been added to the mini profile:ALIAS - You can add in the alias you go by so that people will know who plays what character by looking at the profile.
BIO - The character application can be linked in this section.
CELL PHONE - The character's cell phone can be linked here.
TRACKER - The character's tracker can be linked here.
PLOTTER - The character's plotter can be link here.
Each of the above mentioned fields can be found in each character's profile.
PROFILE > EDIT PROFILE > PERSONAL
Scroll down and you will see the different fields. Put the links in the usual [ url= ]PLOT[/ url ] code for the link to work. Any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact a staff member!
RELATIONSHIP FIELDS
> > >We added a new feature that some of you might have noticed already. This lets you not only have a CURRENT relationship status but you can also add in three PAST RELATIONSHIPS as well just for fun.
Start off by going to your profile.
PROFILE > EDIT PROFILE > PERSONAL
Scroll down and you will see the new fields we have added, right after the ones that allow you to link to trackers, bio, cell and plot pages.
The relationship status can be whatever you want it to be, just don't make it too long. If you want to tag someone in the relationship just use the @ symbol followed by their username. For example @thor.
