WHO THEY ARE The X-Men are a group of mutants that were originally established by Charles Xavier in the sixties, with recruits making up the younger and less experienced members of the faction. Due to a sudden leap in evolution, mutants were born into the world, possessing the X-Gene responsible for granting them superhuman abilities that manifest at puberty. Mutants, or Homo Superiors, are hated and feared by other human beings because of their genetic differences, but Charles Xavier has made it his lifelong goal to create a world where both humans and mutants can prosper alongside one another, without hatred, and without fear. Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters stands as an everlasting symbol of all that Charles Xavier dedicated and gave his life for, and continues to function in the capacity of a school and safe haven for mutants under its remaining staff members. However, with the Superhuman Registration Act looming, an extension of the Mutant Registration Act that haunted the mutant population for so many years before, the residents of the mansion find themselves divided between those opposing and defending the act. To make matters worse, the Brotherhood of Mutants, a faction most had imagined went defunct after the events of Alcatraz Island, are starting to stir again in opposition to another slight against their kind. This brings about a great deal of problems for Hydra who later seek out a different approach intending to form the Cabal. PARTICIPANTS: COMING SOON PAST PLOTS RESCUE COLOSSUS The cure has been mentioned in a number of threads on the site, from gaining access to the formula as well as what S.H.I.E.L.D is doing with it. After Kitty presented the weapon to the X-men, the idea is for them to start trying to find a way to get a sample of the modified formula. The reason for this is to create something for them to use against the cure. So they go about trying to figure out how to do this. While this is going on, Piotr will be captured by H.Y.D.R.A.S.H.I.E.L.D and imprisoned at Ryker Island. There he will be subjected to the cure at high doses. When he is captures, Kitty will have overheard the chatter having been monitoring S.H.I.E.L.D chatter and inform the X-men. They will decide on a plan of action to get Piotr out which will involve telling the students of everything that is going on. Two things will happen during the rescue with regards to the X-men. One, Piotr will be retrieved and samples of the cure will be obtained as well. The theme? Fairy Tales. All of the mansion's residents will be expected to arrive at the party in the Danger Room, dressed up as a figure of folklore of their choice. Shadowcat also plans to use this thematic event as a way to address the very real threat of HYDRA, opening the students eyes to the group that now stands in place of S.H.I.E.L.D, looming over them. JUST POSTED @craigpierre & @dust ULTRON: RISE & FALL Tony Stark, encouraged by some brainstorming with Katherine Pryde, has decided to build a fully humanoid size automaton A.I. just because, well, he can. There is no ulterior motive nor some lofty goal in doing this. He just likes the challenge and because it is indeed a challenge, he is going for it. Using the schematic and protocols of his A.I. assistant J.A.R.V.I.S., Stark has begun to create an artificial brain that would adapt and learn, rewriting its algorithms to meet challenges. As he calls it, 'a second generation J.A.R.V.I.S.' Of course, if he speak of this to the others, cooler heads would point out the inherited dangers of doing something like this, hence why he would not tell anyone. Who are they to stand against science!? It's his project and he will do it if he wants to! Hello! Tony Stark! Billionaire, playboy, genius, philanthropist... enough said. He is calling this little pet project Ultron (based on the word 'ultra' and... to be honest... because of a lack of a better name) and it is his hope that once done, perhaps he would find things for the automaton to do to help humanity. Little does Stark knows that by creating a sentient artificial being, he is opening a Pandora's box. Life always find a way and sentient beings, no matter if real or created, have their own agendas... As the meeting moves forward an emergency broadcast interrupts them before Ultron makes himself known. The mansion is thrown into chaos as electrical items come to life. Or at least try to. During this moment of self-reflection, Fiona turns to Rogue to confide in about the past, present, and future. And hopefully Vice Versa.  IS SHE NOT RIGHT? - NATASHA ROMANOFF, ANNA D'ANCANTO, @alexis, @alice & @fionarintoul- (COMPLETE) With the thread of Ultron and his plan overhead and also for the future war with HYDRA if they survive Ultron, Natasha decides to train some of the less experienced members of the Alliance. While everyone is stashed away in the safe house, Rogue heads out into the robot infested world seeing out Natasha to find out what is going on and how they were going to handle the situation. She brings someone with her for back up. Though her wound isn't too deep it is bleeding leaving her weak and vunerable. Anyone from the X-Men or X-Men Recruit is more than willing to join up! Craig, being Craig, decides to help with that with some aid from others.
